The last several years have been dry, and surprisingly have led to an increase in insects to photograph. Not sure if this is because there are fewer flowers to photograph. This dragpnfly just landed on some California Poppies in my front yard.

These little creatures are actually not afraid of us, which is good since this on is on the skyline trail at Mount Rainier, which can be so busy it needs traffic lights! He did a nice job of posing!
