In the Shadow of the Golden Gate
This was an accidental discovery in Fort Point, under the Golden Gate in San Francisco one foggy day. ( as accidental as a 4x5 picture can be). Hadn't planned on a picture of "the bridge" but it came out pretty nice.
Bodie Window Reflection
On a bright, sunshiny day, what can you photograph in Bodie? Under an eave, there's just enough shadow, and a view camera allows you to shift and get yourself out of the picture.

Fort Ross Barracks Window
Fort Ross Barracks Window is in Fort Ross State Park along the California Coast north of Point Reyes. The Russians had a colony here desperately trying to get enough food for their settlements in Alaska. This is a well-preserved barracks builidng.
Autumn Reflection

This was an old but still operating String factory in Petaluma, California.

Stainless Steel storefronts are pretty intriguing, and this one is cool. The building has been rebuilt -- as an improved stainless steel storefront, without the little holes and deteriorating features present here.
